Weeknote

It's been a busy and disjointed week. I've had a lot going on at work and had to play catch up in a few places. Here in the UK we have Good Friday and the Monday after Easter.

Part of what is making the days a bit disjointed is that our kitchen is still under construction. It's coming along very nicely and it's going to be wonderful to have it done, but in the mean time it's just very disruptive. It is a privilege to be able to have our own house and to be able have someone rebuild an entire room for us and I don't take that lightly.

With the demolition done now they are starting to build things back starting with the floor

bare walls and insulation on the floor

concrete going in on the floor

concrete down and now drying

Then came the walls and electrics

prepping to plaster the walls

plaster covering the brick and new electrics going in

plasterboard up on the walls and ceiling

walls all plastered and smooth

As a family we really love going to the theatre to see plays and musicals. Our latest was on Friday where we got to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

It was really good! My favourite character was Scorpious. He really brought a sense of joy and compassion to the story.

The production quality was top notch as well.

What made the experience even more special was that our youngest daughter had a good friend who as actually in the show. He played the part of the young Harry Potter. Of course we were biased but he did a wonderful job!

After the show we even hung out at the stage door to say hi and give our congrats.

The stage door with an inscription above in the stone saying "Palace Theatre Stage Entrance. The World's greatest artists have passed and will pass through these doors."

It was a great day out!
